Employees holding signs that say we can help.
At Dieterich Bank, we are doing all we can to help ease the financial burden that the COVID-19 pandemic has placed on our customers, our employees, and the communities we serve. We understand that times are hard — for everyone, which is why we are taking the following measures to provide relief and support.

For Our Customers:

We are very proud to say that Dieterich Bank was able to provide over 135 small businesses with assistance for payroll, rent, mortgage interest, or utilities through the first round of the SBA's Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). This gave over $13 million back to our customers and communities. With the PPP offering additional funding, we are taking more applications and continuing to give these necessary resources to our customers.

Dieterich Bank offers personalized assistance to customers who have been financially impacted by Coronavirus. Loan payment assistance may include:
  • Consumer Relief – Loan payment deferral or interest only for up to 90 days
  • Home Equity Lines of Credit – Loan payment deferral up to 90 days
  • Mortgage Relief – Loan payment deferral or interest only for up to 90 days (longer deferrals available up to 12-month, if needed)
  • Business Relief – Loan payment deferral or interest only for up to 90 days
Please reach out to your loan officer to discuss all loan assistance options to meet your specific needs.

For the health and safety of our customers and employees, we encourage all customers to use our Mobile and Online Banking services to transfer money, pay bills, and deposit checks. We also recommend adding Dieterich Bank debit and credit cards to the Mobile Wallet on your smartphone. This will provide a contactless payment method for purchasing groceries and other necessities.

It is important to only leave your home for essential items and to shop as infrequently as possible during this time. Because of this, Dieterich Bank has waived the Get Green interest qualification requirement of 10 debit card transactions for April and May. Get Green Account Holders will now only need to meet the remaining qualifications of receiving an eStatement and accessing their account through Online or Mobile Banking. We hope this will make it easier for our customers to follow the Shelter in Place order and will put extra money in their pockets during this difficult time.

The Federal Reserve announced an interim rule to amend Regulation D - Excessive Transactions. Dieterich Bank will be implementing the recommended change, which allows our customers to make an unlimited number of convenient transfers and withdraws from their savings and Money Market accounts without a fee.

For Our Employees:

Our employees are the heart of our business, and we have taken measures to protect them as we continue to serve our customers. Our branches are temporarily closed to lobby traffic, which limits exposure to our staff. Lobby services are now available via drive-through windows, over the phone, or by appointment only. We continue to promote our Online and Mobile Banking services as well.

Employees who have the capability to work remotely in a home office are doing so, and the remainder of our employees have been spread out to adhere to the social distancing requirements. A business travel ban has been implemented until further notice and all internal meetings are being held via WebEx.

We continue to monitor the situation and environment and will provide any necessary PPE to our employees on an as needed basis.

For Our Communities:

Through the use of social media, we have made an effort to inform the public about the growing number of fraudulent schemes associated with Coronavirus and have encouraged them to protect their personal information.

Dieterich Bank's Facebook Page hosts regular gift card giveaways to local businesses. While encouraging people to buy local, we also create awareness about local businesses and provide the company with gift card sales.

Our local not-for-profit organizations have had to cancel their fundraising events, which are critical for most to stay afloat. Through the use of social media, we have provided a centralized location for individuals to showcase their 501c(3) charities, while also providing $1,000 to one of the charities listed. We hope additional support from individuals who want to give back will surface from this.

If you have questions or concerns about your current financial situation, do not hesitate to call us. We will be by your side and are ready to assist you through these unprecedented times.
