The best part is, your actual card number is never used in the transaction, so your debit and credit card information stay safe! Each transaction is encrypted, creating a more secure transaction.
It's quickly become a popular payment method for safe and savvy shoppers, and more merchants are adopting this contactless technology as more customers make the switch.
How to use your mobile wallet
Thankfully, it's easy! To get started, just download the appropriate app (if it is not already built into your mobile device), and follow the prompts to add your Dieterich Bank debit card to the app.
Once your card is verified, let the shopping begin! To make a purchase, simply access your mobile wallet, choose your card and hold your mobile device up to participating retail terminals with the contactless symbol on them. Some mobile wallets will even allow you to make in-app purchases or purchases with online retailers, syncing your payment information across devices!
Security
As stated, with mobile wallets, your card number is not shared. Instead, it is replaced with a unique code, sometimes referred to as a token, which is used for your mobile wallet transactions. Your card details stay safe, and unseen by merchants. This creates an extra level of fraud protection on your card!
