How to use Mobile Check Deposit: 

  1. Open the Dieterich Bank App.
  2. Select Deposit Check from the menu bar. 
  3. Use the drop-down menu to select an account. 
  4. Sign the back of the check and write “Mobile Deposit Only.” Place the check on a flat, well-lit surface and take an image of the front and back of the check.
  5. Enter the dollar amount of the check. 
  6. (Optional Step) Tap the "+ Additional Check" link and repeat steps 4 & 5  to add another check. 
  7. Tap the Submit button. 

Mobile Check Deposit Details:

  • Mobile Deposits processed after 3:00 PM are considered to be processed on the next business day.
  • Holiday schedules apply to Mobile Check Deposit.
  • Deposits may be rejected if not labeled "For Mobile Deposit Only" on the back of the check and if the checks are not properly endorsed.
  • You must have a deposit account with Dieterich Bank that is set up for Online Banking. 
  • Check photos should be taken on a dark background in a well-lit area. Make sure to keep the entire check within the viewfinder on the camera screen when capturing your photos. All check images must be in focus, not blurred or skewed. 
  • In order for your deposit to be accepted, the check amount entered must match the amount written on your check. 
  • If your deposit is suspected to be fraudulent or contains indicators that represent possible fraud, it may be rejected. We will contact you to inquire about how you obtained the funds.

What is Mobile Check Deposit?
Mobile Check Deposit is a feature within Dieterich Bank' s Mobile App that lets you deposit a check into your bank account by taking a picture with your smartphone or tablet. 

How do I get Mobile Check Deposit?
Mobile Check Deposit is available for all Dieterich Bank mobile banking users. Select "Deposit Checks" from the menu bar, and you should have access to this feature. 

Are there fees for using Mobile Check Deposit? 
Dieterich Bank does not charge any fees to use Mobile Check Deposit. It is FREE! 

Is there a limit on how much money I can deposit using the Dieterich Bank app?
Yes, all users have limits on how much money they can deposit using the Dieterich Bank app. If you have a question on what your limit is, please call our Customer Care Department, at (800) 699-9766. 

When will my Mobile Deposit be available?
  • Deposits are reviewed daily and memo posted once the deposit has been approved.
  • Deposits approved by 3 PM CST on a regular business day will be posted during day-end processing.
  • Deposits made after 3 PM CST will generally be available for use on the second business day. For example, if you make a deposit on a Monday at 5 PM CST, the funds will generally be available at the start of business on Wednesday.
  • Holidays and weekends are not considered regular business days. Therefore deposits will not be available on these days.
  • Your funds can be suspended for further review. Common reasons for suspended funds include large deposit amount, new accounts, new Mobile Deposit users, and infrequent use of the Mobile Deposit feature. These suspensions are set up for your protection and to reduce fraud. 
How will I know if there's a problem with my Mobile Deposit after I submit it? 
You will receive an email from Dieterich Bank on the status of your Mobile Check Deposit. These include the following:
  • Accepted Message: Your deposit has been approved.
  • Suspended Message: Your deposit has been received and is pending further review. You will receive a follow up email stating the deposit has been accepted or declined. 
  • Declined Message: Your deposit has been declined by your Financial Institution.
Why was my Mobile Check Deposit declined?
The most common reason for a declined Mobile Deposit is a missing endorsement or forgetting the verbiage "For Mobile Deposit Only." It may also be that the check appears suspicious or contains one or more fraud indicators that requires us to ask more questions regarding the deposit.

What should I do with my paper check after I have used Mobile Check Deposit?
Write “mobile deposit" and the date on the front of your check. Securely store your check until your deposit has been credited to your account. Once the deposit has been verified, destroy the check.  

How do I enroll another account in Mobile Check Deposit? 
All of your accounts should already be enrolled in Mobile Check Deposit. 

Can I deposit more than one check at a time? 
Yes!
